The concept
The jewelry system, too, comes from the equestrian world. Having been lucky enough to have our horses at home, we were also able to use our creativity to create a modular space for the interior of a small stall, so we used a well-known recycling system: horseshoes. These were used to close and open stall doors, and we closed them with a rope. The Akhal system was inspired by this closing system.
After several tests and prototypes, we now have a discreet, elegant and solid system for all dreamers to enjoy.
Endless possibilities
The idea of being able to change stones simply came from the fact that we wanted to find a way to bring the end customer more varieties of colored stones and a little less jewelry. The first series is minimalist, a fine, refined and elegant style, with no fuss, but where the stone has pride of place.
Swiss Made is very important to us, probably because Sabine works for a small business that manufactures 100% dental instruments in Switzerland, and we're proud to be able to offer a quality Swiss-made product at a competitive price. As a result, our jewelry has been made in Switzerland right from the start. We're constantly looking for ways to optimize production, because even if Swiss production is expensive, we're in the heart of precision thanks to the many watch and medical companies that produce in Switzerland.
Ethics
Production in Switzerland, rather than assembly, means that we have complete control over the treatment of our workers, who are often ingenious freelancers working hand in hand with us. As for the stones, they come mainly from the stock accumulated by Hofmann father and son, which has been in Switzerland for many years and comes from mines where they themselves have witnessed the good treatment of the workers.
The new purchases required will also be made via well-known channels, in order to maintain the natural, untreated quality of the stones, as well as the ethical nature of their extraction.
