First and foremost, we are gemology experts and passionate about precious stones. We possess a vast collection of precious stones and custom-made jewelry, which we sell on Carat Diamond.

We love creating new products and we've been thinking about how to create a piece of jewelry that you never get tired of? How to wear several precious stones without having a large quantity of jewelry?

We have therefore developed an original system that allows you to effortlessly swap the stones, which we call gems, on your jewelry. You can thus transform a single piece into several unique designs simply by collecting the gems.

A passionate equestrian since childhood, she loves nature and believes in more mindful and local consumption. After studying at the Lausanne Hotel School, she worked in marketing and sales for local manufacturers.

Jewelry, and especially precious stones, are a whole new world for her; it was David who introduced her to this adventure. By taking a closer look, she discovered their unique beauty and their symbolism, energies, and stories. The magic that the stones emanate reminded her of her childhood by the lakes, where she would collect the most beautiful pebbles to display in her room.

Passions, desires, a story.

David was immersed in the world of gemology from a very young age.

For his studies, he obtained a federal diploma in commerce in Fribourg, then he spent two years studying gemology in Bangkok at the GIA and the AIGS. He worked for over 15 years in business development positions for companies that manufacture watch cases for Swiss watchmakers and jewelers.

He is also passionate about horse riding, and active in eventing competitions.

The Akhal brand was born from the balance of his two passions.
